"She cheated on him, and they're broken up," he explained, fighting through tears, a valiant yet futile effort. "They're not going to get back together ever. And what they had was so special Conan, you don't even know what they had. They were in love, and she just threw it all away! I don't know if there was anything I could have done to prevent it, I don't know what it means to the Twilight franchise, I just don't know."
It was startling to watch, to say the least: a man chased by his emotions, with nowhere to turn but the bright lights of national television.
Perhaps Pattinson can address the issue himself on Conan; his representative announced that he would still take part in a promotional tour for his new film, Cosmopolis.
